Will I Need To Redecorate?

Following a standard, like for like, window or door installation, there should be no reason to redecorate your rooms. However, there are a number of circumstances where this may not be the case.

When will I not need to redecorate?

A typical window or door installation should ensure that there is minimal disruption to your home. The usual disruption will be the need to remove any furniture and items from around the windows to allow the fitters complete access. Our fitters will do their best to protect the decoration around the windows to ensure that there will be no need to redecorate. There may need to be the odd touch up caused by either removal or fitting.
If you are only having replacement units or glass fitted, there should be no damage to surrounding decoration.

When might I need to redecorate?

If you are looking for a complete overhaul of your windows, including changing the style of the frame, for example from aluminium to composite, there might be more work included. Where there is a complete change of appearance the risk of damaging the decoration around the window increases. Where possible our fitters will do their best to ensure that any damage is minimal if you are not ready to completely redecorate your room.

When will I need to redecorate?

You are highly likely to require redecoration when substantial work is needed in order to fit your new windows. This might be that there has been damage caused by the removal of your old frames, whether this be caused by the age of the frames or existing damage to the walls around the windows.
On occasion, our customers request the size and/or shape of the windows to be changed. This will most certainly mean that you will need to redecorate to compensate for these changes.

Should I redecorate anyway?

When we have new windows fitted it can help to give our rooms a new lease of life. Using this new lease of life, why not take the opportunity to redecorate your rooms, even those we have not damaged at all.
